  7.     He is one of the swiftest men in baseball, the National
  8. League's leading base stealer, but last week Otis Nixon
  9. stumbled. The Atlanta Braves' catalytic lead-off hitter tested
  10. positive for cocaine use and was suspended for 60 days and all
  11. post-season play. It was a shocking setback for Nixon, who had
  12. passed more than 200 drug tests since a 1987 drug arrest, and
  13. also for the Braves, at battling for first place after finishing
  14. last a season ago. Poetically, Nixon's replacement in the lineup
  15. is Lonnie Smith, a former cocaine user.
